As a contribution to the RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden AB) project RIVSLON (Regional Initiative for Virtual and Interoperable Information Systems in Local Traffic), Consat Telematics has implemented a demonstration system in one of Volvo’s electric articulated buses in Gothenburg. The bus is operated by #Transdev, on #Västtrafiks line 16.

In addition to showing passenger journey information and infotainment on the onboard screens, Consat’s installed system presents information to the passengers regarding safety zone – areas that require low speed and careful bus movements, or known high-risk road sections. All  traffic and zone information is fetched from Volvo’s vehicle system.
